Moon in my Room Description and Features
The Moon in my Room is a sensor that hangs vertically on the wall. Contoured and textured just like the moon, when night falls, the sensor automatically is activated, and when the sun comes up, it automatically turns off. The 12 moon phases can be operated either manually or automatically. When it is operated manually, it will stay on a moon phase until it is changed or it shuts off automatically after 30 minutes. In the autophase, the moon will cycle from phase to phase in 5-second intervals.
It also has a 15- minute CD that provides your child with a guided tour of the moon and teaches your child the unique relationship between the moon and earth. Not only will the Moon in my Room spark your child's interest in astronomy, it can erase nightime fears with its dreamy moonscape and gentle, lunar glow. In addition to being a great for children, Moon in my Room is also an excellent device for teachers to instruct young chidren in basic astronomy.
Battery-operated, it requires 4 AA baterries for the moon and 2 AAA batteries for the remote control. The batteries are not included. Additionally, you cannot use rechargeable batteries in this product. Recommended for 6 years of age and up,
