Emeril Stainless Steel Cookware - A Best Seller
In 2005, the 10-piece Emeril Stainless Steel cookware set was the single best-selling cookware in America. Designed by Emeril Lagasse, a professional chef, and All-Clad, a manufacturer of cookware, it is not only functional but beautiful with its gleaming stainless steel exteriors. In addition to beauty, heat distribution is superior to other cookware because of its patented, tri-layer bottoms of alunimum, copper, and stainless steel.
Emeril Lagasse
Emeril Lagasse is a famous cook and television personality. Growing up in the small town of Fall River, MA, as a teen he developed a love for cooking while working at a bakery. He also attended the Culinary Art Program at his high school. Not only did he love cooking, he was also a talented percussionist and recieved a full scholarship to the New England Conservatory of Music, but he declined it to pursue a career as a professional chef.
Attending Johnson and Wales University in Providence, he worked at a local restaraunt to pay for his tuition. After graduating, he worked in both Paris and Lyons to perfect his skills before returning to the states.
For the next few years, he worked at different fine restaraunts in the Northeast. Eventually, Lagasse landed a job at New Orleans's renown restaraunt, Commander's Palace. However, after four years of working eighteen-hour days, his wife divorced him and moved back to Massachussetts with the children.
Seven and a half years after starting at Commander's, he opened his own restaraunt in the undeveloped Warehouse district of New Orleans. Serving French, Spanish, Carribean, Asian, and Portuguese cuisine, the restaraunt eventually was named The Best New Restaraunt of the Year by Esquire magazine. Two restaraunts, one published cookbook, and two failed television programs later, he finally became a cooking icon with the popular series, the Essence of Emeril. Another big hit, Emeril Live! followed the Essence of Emeril, and in May 2003, he signed a five-year multimillion dollar contract for 90 new episodes per year.
The Manufacturer of Emeril Stainless Steel Cookware
Although All-Clad helped design Emeril cookware, unlike All-Clad cookware, it is made in China. All-Clad began as Composite Metal Products in 1960. Founded by John Ulam, an experienced metallugist, he specialized in formulating bonded metals for different industrial purposes. Awarded more than 50 patents related to bonded metals, he was even instrumental for the United State's conversion from from solid silver coins to bonded layered metals.
In 1967, he formed an alliance with Alcoa and transferred his bonding technology knowledge to cookware products. In 1971, All-Clad Metalcrafters was born and he started manufacturing professional-quality cookware for both professional chefs and the home. In 1988, Sam Micheal's bought All-Clad. Since then, All-Clad was acquired by Waterford Wedgewood, a holding company for two tableware companies in 1999 and by Groupe SEB, a French giant in kitchenware in 2004. In 2002, All-Clad recieved a patent for bonding dissimilar metals, and it purchases all the metals for it products through U.S. manufacturers. Today, a household name, All-Clad continues to make superior cookware for professional chefs and home cooks alike.
If you're searching for cookware that is not only beautiful but superior in it's cooking performance, look no further. With the combined knowledge of experienced metallugists and a master chef, Emeril Stainless Steel Cookware is a top-rated choice.

- Lifetime warranty
- Heavy-gauge, 18/10 stainless steel. There are several benefits to stainless steel pots and pans. They are scratch resistant, dent-resistant, nonporous, and do not warp. When it comes to gauge, the lower the number, the better the quality. As far as gauge is concerned, the lower the number denominator, the better quality. However, you don't want cookware with a gauge of 18/8 or less because the high nickel contact may react with foods.
- Lustrous, mirror-finish exterior
- Stay-cool, ergonomic, stainless steel handles
- Satin finish interior
- Tri-clad bottoms of aluminum, stainless steel, and copper. A layer of aluminum is sandwiched between a layer of stainless steel and copper for even heat distribution. Copper is the best heat conducter with aluminum being second.
- Tempered, see-through glass lids with stainless steel edge. Lids are oven-proof up to 350 degrees.
- Flared edges for drip-free pouring
- Oven-safe up to 550 degrees
- Easy-to-clean
