Because of improper lifting, repetitive movements, poor posture, trauma, accidents, and other factors, the spine can become misaligned. A spinal misalignment occurs when one or more of the spinal vertebra move out of its natural position. Since all the nerves in your legs, arms, and trunk originate from the spinal cord, when the spine is misaligned, it can damage the nerves exiting from spine. It can either put pressure on the nerves and cause irritation, pain, or blocked nerve signals (see Spinal Misalignment Chart below). Even when misalignments are asymptomatic, they can still compromise the integrity of the nervous system and cause degenerative changes.

Spine Anatomy

The spinal column is made up of 33 bones called vertebras and divided into three parts. These parts are the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine. The cervical spine includes the first seven vertebra numbered C1 through C7. The next 12 vertebra are called the thoracic spine and are numbered T1 through T12. The last five vertebra are called the lumbar spine and are numbered L1 through L5

These vertebra protect the spinal cord. Approximately the diameter of a finger, the spinal cord is surrounded by a clear fluid called Cerebral Spinal Fluid (CSF). The CSF protects the spinal cord from the bony exterior of the vertebra. In addition to protecting the spinal canal, nerve roots from the spinal cord exit through a hole called the foramen in the vertebra and transmit electrical signals to and from the limbs, trunk, and organs to the brain. These exiting spinal nerves are numbered according to the vertebra they exit from.

In between each vertebra is a spinal disc. Composed of an outer ring of cartiliage fibers and a jelly-like inner core, it acts as a shock absorber and prevents bone rubbing on bone.

Chiropractic Care

When the spine is misaligned, vertebral subluxations can result in a degenerative condition. Throughout time, progressive changes may occur. Normal curvature of the spine decreases. Disc spaces continue to narrow. Bone spurs and arthritis may develop.

To treat this condition, many people go to a chiropractic. Through using controlled force from a specific direction directed at the spinal joint space where the subluxation is located, a chiropractor corrects spinal misalignments so nerves are no longer impinged and function optimally.

The origins of the chiropractic field began with Daniel David Palmer in the mid 1890s. A magnetic healer, his primary goal was to find the ultimate cause of disease. He believed, "A subluxated vertebra...is the cause of 95 percent of all diseases..." Although most chiropractors don't believe this today, they do believe there is a close connection between the spine and health. If the spinal column is in the right position, bodily systems will function at their best. Consequently, when organs are not functioning at their best, in time, it can cause illness and disease. By applying pressure to the spine, the spine is realigned in the correct position, and the body can heal itself.

Spine Worx Benefits

Designed by Dr. B.H. Richardson, D.C., a chiropractor for 40 years, the Spine Worx Realignment Device applies controlled pressure to the back by using your body's own weight. By using two padded and contoured rails designed to fit the natural shape of your mid-thoracic throughout the lower lumbar back, it gently encourages the vertebra to realign into their natural position. By correcting the misaligned vertebra, it can relieve pain through relaxing and stretching tense spinal muscles and improves mobility. If you need more or less pressure in certain areas of your back, it can be adjusted as easily as changing the position of your arms.

Spine Worx has the following features:

  • Easy-to-use
  • Sturdy construction
  • The upper portion is narrow while the lower portion is wider to fit the dimensions of the back.
  • Realigns vertebra to natural position
  • Relieves muscular pain, pressure, and irritation
  • Works comfortably for males or females from 5' to 6'4" tall
  • Portable, take it the office, on business trips or even vacation.
  • LIghtweight, it only weighs 2 pounds.

Spine Worx is like having your own chiropractor at home. In just 15 minutes per day, you can relieve tense muscles and realign your spine. Don't suffer from pain or nerve damage anymore. In many case, when the nerve impingement is released, the nerve damage can be reversed. Consequently, your pain and health will improve.

Although this product has many glowing reviews, results can vary. While some people may feel results within the first couple sessions, for others, it may take longer. Spine Worx is only designed for the thoracic and lumbar back. If you have scolisosis, any severe back injury, a prior back surgery, fusion, or are pregnant, you should consult with a physician before using.
